Distributed Intelligence Architecture (DIA)

eSoft’s Distributed Intelligence Architecture (DIA) provides dynamic classification for new web sites and real-time detection of malicious sites. eSoft’s extensive global network of honeypots and proactive detection of malware and exploits allows early detection of compromised, infected, malicious, and phishing websites. New classifications of websites are immediately available to SiteFilter customers. DIA includes eSoft’s URL collection and crawling, autoclassification, Web Analyst classification, and real-time feedback systems.

Auto Classification

eSoft’s engineers, linguistic experts and Web Analysts have created a series of proprietary systems that utilize a blend of artificial intelligence and heuristics to perform automated evaluation, review and classification for the hundreds of thousands of new URLs collected daily by DIA.

These “auto classification” systems provide dynamic, highly accurate, real-time classification of new URLs, as well as checking for malware. Classification is done using a variety of modules, such as the phishing detection module, which provide a probability analysis on the website categorization.

Web Analysts

Sites not reaching the required probability threshold are reviewed by eSoft’s multi-lingual Web Analysts, who conduct research and perform classification using a patent-pending peer-review approach to ensure the highest levels of accuracy possible. Web Analysts also conduct reviews of auto classified URLs and provide instant, automated feedback to the algorithms utilized by the auto classification systems.
